MUSIC OF A THOUSAND SUNS
Music of a thousand suns
Moon glow caught in burlap cloth
Thread of gold tightly spun
Snapped up by the fates of wrath
The story of a billion souls
Camp side fire of dire delight
Spirit of herb and song ritual
In philosophers cave of stalagmite
Marble figure ignored by eye
In jungle box and concrete light
Slaves of dust and primitive cry
Bones work to sleep to unknown night
Shifting form of hollow mind
Buildings cease when building stops
Working flow comes to grind
When bottom judgment strikes the top
Rise to occasion for serious fall
An empty glory gained by grime
The lie of destiny, a fate for all
Resist the demonic sunshine
