SERPENT SAVIOUR

Wilderness, wilderness
Alone in the herd
Shadows, shadows
The home preferred

Grumblings and cursing
Fill the air
The serpents toxic strike
Their judgment we wear

Hell mouth, hell mouth
Destined to deaths door
Promise, promise
Comes once more

Words and instruction
Brass serpent made
Bringing future and hope
Prophets shadow conveyed

Covenant, covenant
From old to glory new
Silhouette, silhouette
Connected to them too

Old brazen shadow
Holds fast to future story
Lightmaker and promise keeper
Conceals His full pictures glory

Opposite, opposite
Upon one pole they hung
Calling, calling
All differences are one

One serpent in the past
Other Serpent on cross
The brazen ceased to last
The other, Promised Logos

Nemesis, nemesis
The serpent made us widow
Mystery, mystery
One cross, one light, one shadow

Lawmaker has revealed
Author of two, shows He’s One
The Promise was for all when
Serpent Saviour was stung
