EMPTY CROSS

I bow down at an empty cross
Knowing what Your death achieved
I bow down at an empty cross
Remembering when I first believed
For I bow down not to a tree of death
But the tree with hands that heal
For I bow down to the Word and Breath
The Power of God- the Christ revealed

I bow down at an empty cross
Remembering for me You came
I bow down at an empty cross
Knowing You took up Your life again
For I bow down not to a tree of shame
But the tree known as the Tree of Life
For I bow down where God broke my chains
Through the work of Jesus Christ

I bow down at an empty cross
Where it's power and proof redeems
I bow down at an empty cross
Seeing the blood of many stain its beams
For I bow down not to a tree of fools
But the tree known as the Tree of Truth
For I bow down where God broke Satan's rule
This act of God - our living proof

I bow down at an empty cross
Seeing the Son behind it arise
I bow down at an empty cross
That points to Him on triumphant skies
For I bow down not to a tree of choice
But the tree called the Tree of the Way
For I bow down to my Saviours voice
The cross - His final say!

I bow down to an empty cross
That the world declares a myth
I bow down to an empty cross
That declares that I am His
For I bow down not to gods of vice
Made of tree, steel, lies and stone
For I bow down to the proof of Christ
  Who reigns upon His throne

I bow down at an empty cross
Pointing to Resurrection
I bow down at an empty cross
Seeing the Son in the distance ascend
For I bow down not to a tree of doom
But the tree that crucified my sin
For I bow down knowing He'll come soon
Where His reign shall have no end

I bow down at an empty cross
Not to self, nor works, nor myths
I bow down at an empty cross
Where the cross declares I'm His
For I bow down not to gods of vice
made of lies, tree, steel or stone
For I bow down to Lord Jesus Christ
Where reigns forever on His throne

WRETCHED MAN THAT I AM

“Wretched man that I am!” – Who will free me from this life
That’s dominated by – death and sin?
“Miserable man I am!” – Who’ll deliver me from hell
And save me from myself deep within?

Who can save me? Who can save me?
Who can save me from the law of sin?

Thank God! That the answer’s in Jesus Christ
Our Lord! Our God! Our Lord! Our God!
No condemnation is found in Christ
Our Lord! Our God! Our Lord! Our God!
Our redeemer! Our deliverer!
Jesus frees us with the power of His Word!

“Wretched man that I am–” No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No
“Wretched man that I am–” No more! No more!
“Wretched man that I am–” Left him way back then before
“Wretched man that I am–” Under sin and works and law!

Who has saved me? Who has saved me?
Who has saved me from the life before?

The Spirit that has raised, Jesus from the grave
Lives in you to save your soul!
Father God Almighty, He has made You rightly
Standing ever brightly, shining like the Son!

BLOOD-WASHED

Scarlet man, hanging on a tree
Raised in the air... Oh how can it be
You’d die for me..? Die for me..? Die for me

Scarlet hands, presenting God Your case
Your open prayer, to take this sinners place
By bleeding grace... Bleeding grace... Bleeding grace

Oh Love... hung still...
Dead Saviour on a hill

The cross – the cross, revealed the God of Love
The love – the love, revealed the God of Wrath
The wrath – the wrath, put God upon that cross
So I praise, and I raise my hands, to the scarlet man

Scarlet Lamb, enduring Wrath of God
You saved me there, Rock smitten by the rod
Washed in the flood... In the flood... By the blood

Blood-washed – now I stand, forgiven! Forgiven!
Blood-washed – now I stand, redeemed! (Redeemed!)
Blood-washed – I come before the Throne of Heaven! Of Heaven!
Blood-washed – Jesus made me clean! (Me clean!)

JESUS CHRIST

The Maker, the Saviour
Stepped down from heaven, walked creation
The Servant, the Master
Lay broken praying in the garden

How he cried, how he wept
Crying blood, crying sweat
Crowned with thorns on His head
He was faithful to the end

Jesus died for me!
Took my place so that I may go free
Crucified my sin so I may live
And freely give, the life that saves
And He rose again!
Conquered death through resurrection
Now ascended to the Father’s side
And lifted high, is the name
Jesus Christ!

Anointed, with perfume
Last Adam, rose up from the broken tomb
Great Spirit, at Pentecost
Poured out His Life to save the lost

Now we come, to Your throne
Worshipping, You alone
Raising hands, raising voice
We proclaim, we rejoice

Jesus died for me!
Took my place so that I may go free
Bought me with His blood so I may live
And freely give, the Life that Saves
And He rose again!
Conquered death through resurrection
Now ascended to the Father’s side
And lifted high, is the name
Jesus Christ!

Jesus Christ! My Lord!
Jesus Christ my Lord! My God!
Jesus Christ! My Lord!
Jesus Christ my Lord! My God!
