POKER MACHINE

Poker machine
Poker machine
I’m attracted to your lights and your TV screens
When I go out, to the mega-church crowd
I put my tithe in and I pray aloud

Poker machine
Poker machine
I’m wooed by your music and this feel good scene
I go take a seat, give my earnings this week
I leave with nothing, but I feel complete

Poker machine
Poker machine
Other prosperous members make me ever green
What did they do, to be blessed by you?
I’ve tithed, tithed, tithed, tithed, tithed, and nothing still has come through

Poker machine
Poker machine
You’ve promised abundance that I’ve never seen
Occasionally I get, a bit back from my bet
But that doesn’t pay the bills and my serious debt!

Poker machine
Poker machine
Your destruction of me is completely obscene
You played my desires and fondled my fires
But now that have nothing, I see you the liar

Poker machine
Poker machine
I know your game and know you what you glean
You sing and you flash and promise me cash
But you thrash and bash and slash me- throw me out in the trash

Poker machine
Poker machine
You target the wealthy, you target the teen
You’re like cocaine, you mess with the brain
You promise us kingdoms, but it’s us you enchain

Poker machine
Poker machine
You’ve destroyed many who go unseen
To fund your campaigns, you wolf down our gains
We’re sick of your devils, we’re sick of your chains
