DEFEATED (2COR 2:14-16)

What is the smell
That’s a fragrance to the Saviour
But to the world
Is a stench of death?
It is I, defeated with the Christ

What is the sight
That’s abhorrent to all people
But brings to light
The knowledge of God?
It is I, treated like, the Christ

No longer captive to my sin
I’m made captive by my Lord
Made a spectacle before all men
I can only live his Word

So I look upon
The eyes of the one
Who gave His life for me
And I stand
And raise my hands
To my king who holds my destiny
We are crucified
With our arms raised high
Thank You Lord
For
Giving us Your
Life

What’s there to win
Now that my life is over
Set free from sin
And the power of death?
It is Christ! No longer I – but the price

So I look upon
The eyes of the one
Who gave His life for me
And I stand
And raise my hands
To my king who holds my destiny
We are crucified
With our arms raised high
Thank You Lord
For
Giving us Your
Life

I am defeated!
I am defeated!
Now I lead the – dead to death
– the alive to life

And I look upon
The scars of the one
Who gave His life for me
And I stand
And raise my hands
To my king who destroyed my destiny

So I look upon
The eyes of the one
Who gave His life for me
And I stand
And raise my hands
To my king who holds my destiny
We are crucified
With our arms raised high
Thank You Lord
For
Giving us Your
Life

Thank You Lord for your eternal life...
